More than 4,000 laws were passed here, PM Modi said in the old Parliament.

During the special session of Parliament, PM Modi said that together, we are going to inaugurate a new future in the new Parliament building.

New Delhi: Parliament is being shifted to the new building today. On the occasion of the farewell ceremony of the old Parliament House, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this Central Hall is full of emotions. It makes us emotional and also inspires us for our duties. Here, the meetings of the Constituent Assemblies were held. The Constitution took shape. It was here that the tricolour and national anthem were adopted. More than 4000 laws were passed in the Parliament. A rule was made to get rid of Article 370. After 1952, about 41 heads of state of the world addressed all our honourable MPs in this Central Hall. Addresses have been given here by all our Presidents 86 times. From here, we are leaving with new collections.

going to inaugurate a new future

During the special session of Parliament, PM Modi said that together, we are going to inaugurate a new future in the new Parliament building. Today, we are moving towards the new building here with the intention of reiterating the resolve of a developed India, once again taking a pledge and working wholeheartedly to fulfil it. Before this, PM Modi wished all the countrymen a happy Ganesh Chaturthi.

Also created laws giving justice to transgenders
PM Modi said that in the past years, Parliament also made laws providing justice to transgender people. Through this, we have also taken steps towards providing jobs, education, health and other facilities to transgender people with harmony and respect.
