The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has nominated Janardan Singh Sigriwal as their candidate from Maharajganj.

 In the Lok Sabha elections, he will be contesting against Akash Prasad Singh, the candidate from the Congress. Bihar Lok Sabha Elections: Akash Prasad Singh, son of Akhilesh Prasad Singh, the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee President, has been chosen as the candidate from Maharajganj constituency. Expressing his reaction on receiving the ticket from Maharajganj on Tuesday (April 23), he claimed victory confidently through his social media handle.

Akash Prasad Singh wrote, "On being nominated as the Lok Sabha candidate from Maharajganj, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the All India Congress Committee, especially to our former Congress President, CPP Chairperson, respected Sonia Gandhi, National President respected Mallikarjun Kharge, and beloved leader our former President, respected Rahul Gandhi. I express my sincere thanks for entrusting such a huge responsibility to a small worker like me and for showing faith in me. With the blessings of the people of Maharajganj, I am confident of winning this seat by a significant margin.
