Mukhtar Ansari's Death:

From IG and DIG to the deployment of 5000 police personnel... Ghazipur transformed before Mukhtar's funeral: here's the security arrangement:

Before Mukhtar Ansari's funeral, Ghazipur transformed security measures. From high-ranking officials like the Inspector General (IG) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) to the deployment of 5,000 police personnel, significant steps have been taken to ensure security.

Mukhtar Ansari, who was imprisoned in Banda Medical College, died of a heart attack. His body will be buried in Mohammadabad Yusufpur in Ghazipur district. Before his funeral, Ghazipur has been put under lockdown with heavy police presence in every nook and corner. Mukhtar will be buried in the Kali Bagh Cemetery in Mohammadabad Yusufpur at 10 am on Saturday. There is a high alert in Ghazipur regarding his burial. The entire district is under tight security measures.

At present, Mukhtar's body is at his ancestral home, barricaded, and media access is restricted. Only family members are allowed inside. The cemetery where he will be buried is located about half a kilometre away from the Ansari family's residence. Mukhtar's parents are also buried in the same cemetery, and it's said that he will be buried near his father's grave.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally oversees the security situation. UP's DIG Prashant Kumar and Home DIG Deepak Kumar are in contact with the district administration. It's reported that they have provided all necessary information to the Chief Minister regarding security arrangements in the Ghazipur and Varanasi divisions. Special security arrangements have been made in Yusufpur, and security personnel from all districts in the Varanasi division have been deployed there.

District Magistrates, along with other officials, have been present at Mukhtar's home since Friday morning. His ancestral home in Mohammadabad Yusufpur is located in the primary market area, which is currently closed. It's expected to reopen after the burial. Residents mention that the closure is out of sympathy rather than compulsion.
