The ongoing second phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, a testament to our vibrant democracy, has seen a significant voter turnout in West Bengal and Chhattisgarh.

This underscores the crucial role these regions play in shaping our nation's future. As of 9 pm, polling has been active across 13 states and Union Territories, including Kerala, where all 20 seats are being contested. The voting, which began at 7 am on April 26, will continue until 5 pm, giving every citizen a chance to have their voice heard.

The critical candidates in this phase represent a diverse range of backgrounds and regions. They include Bhupesh Baghel from Rajnandgaon, DK Suresh from Bengaluru Rural, Shobha Karandlaje from Bengaluru North, Tejasvi Surya from Bengaluru South, HD Kumaraswamy from Mandya, and Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad. Noteworthy contestants also include Anil Antony from Pathanamthitta, as well as Shashi Tharoor and Rajiv Chandrashekhar from Thiruvananthapuram. Among others, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat is contesting from Jodhpur, Hema Malini from Mathura, and Arun Govil from Meerut.

The second phase of the elections covers a vast geographical spread, spanning across states such as Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh. Elections are underway in Kishanganj, Katihar, Purnia, and Bhagalpur. Chhattisgarh sees contests in Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund, and Kanker. Rajasthan viewers voting in Tonk-Sawai Madhopur, Ajmer, Pali, Jodhpur, Barmer, Jalore, Udaipur, Banswara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Kota, and Jhalawar-Baran. West Bengal has elections in Darjeeling, Raiganj, and Balurghat, while Uttar Pradesh sees polling in Amroha, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, and Mathura.

In the southern state of Kerala, all seats are contested. Karnataka sees voting in Udupi, Chikmagalur, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru North, Bengaluru Central, Bengaluru South, Chikballapur, and Kolar constituencies.
