Delhi ordinance bill passed by both houses, 131 votes in favor and 102 votes in opposition

Delhi ordinance bill passed in Parliament: After the Lok Sabha, the Rajya Sabha has also passed the National Capital Territory of Delhi Government Bill, 2023. Voting on the bill was done with the help of voting slips after a malfunction in the voting machine. The bill passed in the Rajya Sabha by 131 (yes) votes against 102 (no) votes.

Now, after the signature of the President of India, Draupadi Murmu, and publication in the Gazette of the Government of India, this bill will officially become law.

This bill was put on the table of the Rajya Sabha by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
