Gourav Vallabh Resigns from Congress Over Ideological Differences

Amid preparations for the Lok Sabha elections:

Gourav Vallabh's resignation from the Congress comes as a significant blow. He stated that he could not endorse slogans against Sanatan ideology, making staying within the party challenging.
Posting a resignation letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on social media, he wrote, "The Congress Party's directionless trajectory makes it difficult for me to stay. I cannot chant slogans against Sanatan ideology, nor can I abuse the country's wealth creators day and night. Hence, I resign from all positions and primary membership of the Congress Party."

In a heartfelt resignation letter addressed to Kharge, Gourav Vallabh bared his emotional turmoil. He yearned to express more, but his principles held him back. Yet, he believed that concealing the truth was a crime in itself, and he refused to be a part of it any longer.

What did Gourav Vallabh say?
When Gourav Vallabh initially joined the Congress Party, he was drawn to its rich history as the oldest party in the country and its purported respect for the ideas of young and intellectual minds. However, over the years, he grew disillusioned, feeling that the party needed help to adapt to the evolving ideas and aspirations of the youth.
Mentioning the Ram Mandir issue, Gourav Vallabh expressed his dissatisfaction with the Congress's stance on the Ram Lalla idol installation ceremony in Ayodhya. Being a Hindu by birth and a teacher by profession, he always felt uncomfortable with the party's stand. Many people associated with the party and the coalition speak against Sanatan ideology.

He further stated that nowadays, the party is moving in the wrong direction. On the one hand, we talk about the caste-based census, and on the other hand, there is a growing perception of being anti-Hindu.
