What's the Matter?
Two brothers from Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, were working together on a project. Ishwar Deen and his brother converted a Maruti wagon into a helicopter. They modified the WagonR to resemble a helicopter. While the brothers were starting to paint the car, which had been transformed into a helicopter, the local police noticed the incident. The police seized the vehicle initially, but after imposing a fine of 2000 rupees on both brothers, they released the car. Additionally, the police instructed them to remove the helicopter-like part from the rear.
Helicopter Made at a Cost of 2.5 Lakhs: Ishwar Deen and his brother spent 2.5 lakhs to convert the car into a helicopter. They spent this amount on installing rotors on the Maruti WagonR and creating the rear part of the helicopter, which gave the vehicle a helicopter-like appearance. Ishwar mentioned that they made this vehicle for the bride and groom to use as a mode of transport at weddings. According to both brothers, they were making this vehicle to earn some additional income at home.
Police Action: Assistant Superintendent of Police Vishal Pandey stated that permission from the RTO department is required to make any changes to a vehicle. The vehicle was seized under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act, and further investigation will continue. The police mentioned that the brothers did not have any authority to make changes to the car.
