Sovereign Gold Bond: Issue price fixed at Rs 5923 per gram; Subscription will open on the 11th; know the last date

Sovereign Gold Bond: According to RBI, the issue of the second installment of Sovereign Gold Bond will be open from 11 to September 15. The bonds will be sold through banks, Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL), designated post offices, and recognized stock exchanges – NSE and BSE.

On Friday, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said that the issue price for the next tranche of Sovereign Gold Bond has been fixed at Rs 5,923 per gram. The issue of the second tranche of Sovereign Gold Bond 2023-24 series will open for subscription from September 11.

Announcing the issue price of Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2023-24 Series 2 (Second Tranche), the central bank said, "The nominal value of the bond is based on a simple average of the closing prices (for gold of 999 purity). The price is Rs 5,923 per gram.
In consultation with RBI, the government has given a discount of Rs 50 per gram from the nominal price to investors who apply online and make payments through digital mode. The issue price of gold bonds for such investors will be Rs 5,873 per gram.

According to RBI's statement, the second installment of the Sovereign Gold Bond 2023-24 series will be open between September 11 and 15. The bonds will be sold through banks, Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL), designated post offices, and recognized stock exchanges – NSE and BSE.
