Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Arranged for a Blanket and Medicines from Home

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday night (March 21) in association with a money laundering case related to Delhi's spirits policy. According to sources, Arvind Kejriwal couldn't sleep properly throughout the night while being in ED custody. Blankets and medicines were arranged for him from his home.
In this Case, Arvind Kejriwal's lawyers will file a plea before the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court on Friday morning, seeking relief in the matter. Earlier, the Delhi High Court had denied relief to Kejriwal on any arrest by the agency.
Interrogation lasted for two hours.
Actually, after continuously sending nine summons, a team from ED reached Kejriwal's house on Thursday evening with the tenth summons. There, the Chief Minister was interrogated for two hours. During this time, the Joint Director of ED Kapil Raj also remained present at Kejriwal's residence. Kejriwal's statement was recorded under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). ED has so far filed six charge sheets in this Case and seized assets worth Rs 128 crore.
What is the whole Case?
This Case is related to alleged corruption and money laundering in preparing and implementing Delhi's liquor policy for 2021-22. However, this policy was later scrapped. AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are in judicial custody in this Case. Kejriwal's name has been mentioned multiple times in the ED's charge sheet.
The agency alleges that the accused were in contact with Kejriwal to formulate the liquor policy. There are allegations of accepting bribes from AAP to develop and implement this policy.
