A few days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's US visit, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is looking to increase partnerships with political parties around the world, especially neighbouring countries, amid global diplomatic events like the SCO summit and G-20. Is.
On Wednesday, ambassadors to India from the Middle East, Africa, European Union and Caribbean countries met BJP President JP Nadda at the party headquarters in New Delhi. The questions that the diplomats asked Nadda included - How is the BJP different from the Congress...? How was BJP elected to return to power continuously...? How does BJP use technology and social media to connect with the youth...? How does BJP deal with regional parties...?

In response to these questions, the BJP President told about the history of the party from the year 1951 till now, the difficulties faced by it, and the major schemes of the government.
Party officials say that such efforts are being made to send the right message from India to neighbouring countries and to deal with misleading information about BJP.

Significantly, just a week ago, PM Narendra Modi returned from his trip to America and Egypt.

The BJP will soon host delegations from the ruling Awami League in Bangladesh and the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) in the coming weeks. The Awami League, the African National Congress and the parties of Nepal have been close to the Congress in the past, and the BJP wants to change this picture. When Awami League leader Sheikh Hasina came to India, she especially met Sonia Gandhi, and the Congress described it as a special bond of friendship.

On the other hand, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) came to the BJP headquarters just a few months before becoming the Prime Minister of Nepal and met the BJP leadership.

This year, India holds the presidency of the G20 and is projecting itself as the voice of the Global South.

BJP delegation had also visited China in the past. Apart from this, BJP has also been holding informal meetings with political parties in countries like Singapore.

In the last few months, the BJP has hosted delegations from Russia, South Africa, Netherlands, Mexico, Colombia, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Maldives and Mali.

Vijay Chauthaiwale, in charge of the BJP's foreign affairs department, said these efforts were being made to strengthen India's position in the neighbourhood and would boost its diplomatic efforts.

Under the 'Know your BJP' initiative, Nadda has so far interacted with 68 ambassadors during the last two years.

Diplomatic efforts being made by India will be an important part of BJP's campaign in the year 2024.
