In a significant breakthrough, authorities in Delhi have uncovered a sophisticated cheating operation targeting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), resulting in the arrest of four individuals, including two MBBS students. The revelation came to light following an intensive investigation initiated after anomalies were detected during the NEET examination at Mehta Vidyalaya, located in the Tilak Marg area of the capital.

Two Fake Students Arrested

Devesh Kumar Mahla, Deputy Commissioner of Police in New Delhi, stated that two fake students, Sumit Mandoliya and Krishna Kesravani, were caught at the examination centre. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, considering the seriousness of the crime, the case has been transferred to the special cell of the New Delhi district for investigation under the leadership of Inspector Sanjay Kumar Gupta.

Revealing the Leaders Behind the Scheme

Mandoliya and Kesravani, both pursuing MBBS degrees, disclosed shocking details of their involvement in the racket. They revealed that Kumar and Lal, residents of Rajasthan and Bihar respectively, orchestrated the fraudulent scheme, charging exorbitant fees ranging from 20 to 25 lakh rupees to facilitate imposters for the NEET exam.

Gang Used Digital and Fake Photos of Students

The police officer mentioned that the gang also used digital and fake photos of fake and real students to affix to application forms. This helped them deceive the invigilators. Another officer revealed that Mandoliya and Kesravani are from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh respectively and are MBBS students from different colleges. He said that Mandoliya is a second-year MBBS student at a medical college in West Bengal, while Kesravani is a first-year MBBS student at a medical college in Uttarakhand.

Police Seized 4 Mobile Phones and 1 Car

The police have seized four mobile phones and a car from their possession. The accused were interrogated further to ascertain their involvement in previous exams. A detailed investigation into the matter is ongoing.
